Always a pleasure to visit here, with friendly staff, great wines and tasty food. The cheese platters in particular are awesome! Well worth booking as it's always busy.

We've visited here twice & loved it every single time! The staff are so lovely & so knowledgable, on the wine and food the menu has to offer. The choice of different meats & cheeses is big but not so big that you feel overwhelmed. We can't wait til we can come again!

Everything we had was amazing! The sommelier, Lydia, was wonderfully informative and knowledgeable. We had the small plates and wine tasting. The difference in the wine before and after eating was astounding. I didn’t realise the impact food could have on wine! They gave me a birthday card signed by the staff which was a lovely touch. Great place for a birthday/date.

I have been fortunate enough to visit Pairings twice within the last year - and plan to be back many more times in the future! The atmosphere is fantastic, the food and wine is amazing and reasonably priced!! The staff are lovely, attentive and overall just fantastic! Recommend booking in advanced as they’re busy 90% of the evenings as they’re just that great! A must visit for all cheese/wine lovers!! Display and food quality is amazing and honestly cannot fault a single thing :) Highly recommend the truffle cheddar - always buy some extra to take home, even when I haven’t had a chance to pop in and have a sit down meal

Came in for lunch for a relaxed celebration for a friend’s engagement and we absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was so perfect and the food and service was superb. We were mainly served by Connor, who was really helpful as I’d never tried a pairing experience before. We will definitely return!

There should be more places like this... Such beautiful wine bar serving wonderful wines and charcuterie. Excellent service from start to finish, the sommelier gave great wine advice to pair with your platter. Highly recommend.

This place has totally stole my heart! Overall experience is unbelievable. They do the most gorgeous wines, the flights give you an opportunity to try out lots of different things you wouldn’t normally try. The boards are amazing - our personal favourite is the one where you make your own. Choosing from such a wide range of meats and cheeses, the quality of all the ingredients are top notch! The staff and the service is impeccable and they always go above and beyond to accommodate and make you feel welcome. As well as there knowledge on all wines being impeccable. Thank you for being our go to place to come. It’s a must must visit if you’re in York! We visit every time we come without fail! We wish we had a pairings in all cities!

Truly one of the best spots for any wine, cheese lover or general foodie. I took my wife here on her birthday it was both our first time visiting. Couldn't have gone better. The quality of the ingredients, the kindness of the staff. Everything was just perfect and I can't thank them enough. Anytime we visit York again now this has got to be on the itinerary.
